Initialization / First start
With a new device, initialization starts first. However, it may also be necessary to initiate these manually after use. This state can be roughly compared to a completely installed Windows environment, which asks for the last missing information.
The manual initialization is done by pressing the reset button with the stylus at the back of the device for approximately two seconds and by pressing the two scanner buttons left and right for approximately five seconds during the restart of the device. This restores the device to its original state - the device must be set up again.
Attention: All data will be deleted!
After the first start or initialization, the first basic settings must be made as follows:
- In the Windows picture, press the touch once until a cross appears.
- Perform the calibration: use the stylus to press accurately and firmly on the displayed cross. Press 5 crosses until the calibration is finished.
- Then comes a demo that you skip with Skip.
- date and time: Enter the time zone GMT + 1 (e.g. Berlin Rome for Germany). Select the current date and then the exact time. For the times between 13:00 and 23:00, select the PM variants 01:00 to 11:00.
- password: Press skip
- e-mail: Press skip
- Setup is complete - touch once and you are done with the basic settings.
Setting up the operating system
In order to be able to use the device optimally, further important settings are necessary.
Select Start and Setting, there the program menus. Remove all check marks from the list and confirm with OK (if Mobile Control is already installed leave this check mark activated).
Then select the Todayprogram and the Itemstab. Remove all check marks except Date. Confirm with OK.
In the Settings,select the Systemtab. Start the Scannerprogram. Select the To Kpdtab. Activate the checkbox at: Start Scan2Key When Exit. Confirm with OK.
Select the Settingstab. Click the + before Data Options. Click on Preamble: "". In the appearing dialog enter <03> into the field and confirm with OK .
On the Settings tab, click the + before Scanning Options select Terminator: Enter (13-10) and confirm with OK.
Regional settings...
In the Settings,select the Systemtab. Start theRegional Setting programme. Choose Germany (German) .
Restart the device...
Press the Reset button on the back of the unit for about 2 seconds (without pressing any other button). The device restarts.
The Microsoft operating system is in English and cannot be switched to German. The regional settings only affect the number formats, date and currency.

Connection to the PC - Active Sync
If you connect the device to a PC, you need ActiveSync. If required, you can find it in the Hypersoft AddOn directory.
The mobile device must have at least .NET Framework
The .Net Framework (spr. dotnet), is a Microsoft component that sets new standards for advanced program development. version 2.0 for mobile devices installed to work with Mobile Control. If required, this installation can be carried out via the stationary Mobile Control program.
When you connect the device to the PC for the first time, ActiveSync is started.
Press Next. Deactivate all check marks for synchronizing and click Nextin each case. The Hypersoft Suite automatically synchronizes the data for you.
The device is entered and is considered connected and synchronised (as there is nothing that needs to be synchronised from ActiveSync's point of view). After the setup, proceed to the installation of the Mobile Control program directly from the MCP.
