1. The optimal operating system
The Hypersoft system is built on a stable foundation: Microsoft Windows is the recommended operating system for your stationary cash registers.
For mobile POS solutions - such as mPOS or PayPOS - Hypersoft also supports the Android and Apple iOS operating systems.
If you purchase Hypersoft POS terminals directly from us, we will ensure that the operating system is optimally pre-configured - perfectly matched to the requirements of your business and our software.
The following Windows versions ensure optimum operation with Hypersoft:
*1 = The Windows .NET Framework is already indispensable for components such as Hypersoft Pay powered by Adyen and NoCOO. In the course of future developments, the framework is a fixed system requirement.
Current standard...
Recommended version: .NET Framework 4.8
Compatible but outdated version: .NET Framework 4.7
Check Windows version...
To determine your current Windows version, enter the command WINVER in the Run dialogue (key combination Windows key + R).
Framework requirements in detail...
.NET Framework 3.5 is required by Hypersoft and is mandatory.
.NET Framework 4.8 complements the system and is also required - it does not replace 3.5.
Important:
Please install the .NET Framework 3.5 before the Hypersoft setup, otherwise the programme start of the POS system cannot be guaranteed.
Deactivate tablet mode...
If active, please deactivate the Windows tablet mode on your POS systems.
The following Windows Server versions ensure optimum operation with Hypersoft:

Third-party devices and self-configured operating systems
We want you to be completely free in your choice of IT supplier. Hypersoft has been working successfully with our customers' various IT service providers for decades. In many cases, we really appreciate it if your own IT staff or a regional IT service can provide on-site support - especially if this is faster and more flexible than our own remote service.
Our desire to offer you Hypersoft hardware is based precisely on this idea: as a software manufacturer, we are dependent on the quality of the hardware used and the appropriate infrastructure to ensure smooth collaboration.
Standardised and tested environments...
The variety of Windows PCs, Windows servers and network configurations is enormous. Hypersoft tests and recommends a defined standard that works without problems in 99% of cases. However, we cannot guarantee that the Hypersoft programmes will work properly on individually configured or specially adapted systems.
If our programmes do not start on your individually configured hardware or operating system or are delayed or blocked by third party influences, we will support you to the best of our knowledge in troubleshooting. However, we reserve the right to stop troubleshooting as soon as it becomes clear that the cause lies in your specific configuration. In this case, we will coordinate the next steps with you.
Recommended procedure for installation problems...
If Hypersoft programmes do not start or are blocked on your system, we recommend the following procedure:
Return to standard: Configure servers, PCs and network components to comply with Hypersoft standards.
Hypersoft installation by us: Commission us with the initial installation in this standardised environment.
Customisation: After successful installation, you can make your own special configurations and additional installations.
Function test: Then test the Hypersoft programmes again.
If there is an incompatibility, we will work together to find a solution. Please note, however, that it is not part of our service concept to proactively analyse the causes of incompatibilities in externally configured systems.
