Operating systems for Hypersoft POS systems

The Hypersoft system is based on a stable technological foundation: Microsoft Windows is the recommended operating system for stationary cash registers.

For mobile POS solutions - such as mPOS or PayPOS - Hypersoft also supports the Android and Apple iOS operating systems.

If you purchase Hypersoft POS terminals directly from us, we deliver them with an optimally pre-configured operating system - perfectly tailored to the requirements of your business and our software.

The following Windows versions ensure optimum operation with Hypersoft:

.NET Framework 3.5 is required by Hypersoft and is mandatory.

.NET Framework 4.8 complements the system and is also required - it does not replace 3.5.

Important:

Please install the .NET Framework 3.5 before the Hypersoft setup, otherwise the programme start of the POS system cannot be guaranteed.

Third-party devices and self-configured operating systems

Cooperation with IT service providers and hardware recommendations

We want you to be completely free in your choice of IT supplier. Hypersoft has been working successfully with a wide variety of our customers' IT service providers for decades. It is often even an advantage if your own IT staff or a regional IT service can provide on-site support - especially if this is faster and more flexible than our remote service.

Our offer to also provide you with Hypersoft hardware is based on the same idea: as a software manufacturer, we rely on the quality of the hardware used and a suitable infrastructure to ensure smooth collaboration.

Standardised and tested environments

The variety of Windows PCs, Windows servers and network configurations is huge. Hypersoft therefore tests and recommends a clearly defined standard that works reliably in practice in 99% of cases.

However, we cannot guarantee that our programmes will run smoothly on individually configured or specially adapted systems. If Hypersoft programmes do not start on your configuration or are blocked by third party influences, we will support you in troubleshooting to the best of our knowledge. However, as soon as it has been established that the cause lies in a specific external configuration, we will coordinate the next steps with you.

Recommended procedure for installation problems

If Hypersoft programmes do not start or are blocked on your system, we recommend the following procedure:

  1. Return to standard: Bring servers, PCs and network components into a standard configuration recommended by Hypersoft.

  2. Installation by Hypersoft: Commission us with the initial installation in this standardised environment.

  3. Customisation: After successful installation, you can make your own special configurations and additional installations.

  4. Function test: Then test the Hypersoft programmes again.

If there is an incompatibility, we will work together to find a solution. Please note, however, that it is not part of our service concept to proactively analyse the causes of incompatibilities in externally configured systems.

In this way, we ensure that your Hypersoft systems are stable, reliable and can be operated in harmony with your IT infrastructure.
