MixMatch Combo Prices

In the Combo Prices tab of MixMatch you can configure a special discount function. MixMatch Combo prices are supported at the POS in Quick-Service and Full-Service.

If a defined quantity of items is booked from a product group stored here, the total price is "capped", i.e. only the combo price is calculated if the sum of the individual bookings would be higher than this. All included items from the combo are discounted accordingly (the adjusted item bookings are not marked separately, the discount is applied to individual items). Any number of combos can be calculated, so in this example one combo for all four booked items, 12 item bookings can then result in 3 combos. You can use standard discount reports for the evaluation.

Practical example:

They sell donuts at different prices between 1,5,- and 3,-. To ensure that customers make as much as 8,- in sales as possible and do not only order 1 or 2 items, set up the above-mentioned combo price, which assures the customer to pay a maximum of 8,- for four items.

Workflow from the combo price...

4 items from product group "Sushi 2.0" have a maximum price of 35,-.

If 5 articles from the corresponding product group are posted, the price is adjusted ad-hoc in the transaction list. Instead of 5x 9,50, 4 items are now reduced to 8,75 each to reach the maximum price of 35,-. One item remains at 9.50.

Information for operators...

The operator can swipe to the left in the transaction list to display the discount for combo prices:

Information on forms...

On the invoice, the reduction in price is shown as a discount:

  • The items are applied in descending order of price, so that the customer always gets the best discount.

  • If a group has already been discounted, but another booking has more benefits for the customer, the group is updated, the new booking is integrated and the least effective item is removed from the discount group.

  • With each booking, the entire transaction (the items not yet booked) is recalculated.

  • If you work with tables, the item bookings already processed by New Balance are no longer taken into account.
