decommissioning

If you take your POS system out of service, you must create a data backup and store it in a secure location.

Please also note that the data backup integrated in Hypersoft at normal intervals, such as "weekly", may act unintentionally when the system is switched on again or restarted. A device that has been shut down for more than a month can overwrite any better data backups it may have after reintegration.

If you need to retain data from the cash register system for tax audits, consult with your tax advisor.

In your procedural documentation, store the locations of the cash registers and, if necessary, the central storage units and data backups.

Also, with regard to the operating system, firewall and virus protection, be careful not to expose the devices to risks without adequate protection, such as reconnecting to a network.

Decommissioning Special case Germany 2020

On 01.01.2020 the Kassensicherungsverordnung 2020 became effective. This requires, among other things, signatures, technical security devices, new export formats and archives. In case of non-compliance, we as the manufacturer can be fined (up to 25.0000,-€ in individual cases) if we offer such systems or put them into circulation. Therefore, we assure to immediately comply with the required things by offering the updates and TSEs.

Whether you have only invested in a new system from Hypersoft since the beginning of 2020, whether you have updated to the transitional version within the agreement, or whether you have simply refused the necessary updates, makes no difference to the fact that the POS system cannot continue to be used without this completion with updates and TSE. For legal reasons, shutdowns are therefore also compulsorily incurred by the termination of the agreed software maintenance contract because we would otherwise be involved in knowingly putting non-compliant POS systems into circulation at the time of the shutdown of the software maintenance by terminating them before completion.

We therefore ask you to maintain the service contracts during this time. If software maintenance agreements are terminated beforehand, the booking of the cash registers is prevented. In addition, we always recommend that you conclude an inexpensive GoBD follow-up agreement.
