Web vouchers at the Self-Order Terminal (SOT)

Web vouchers can be used for payment at the SOT. The web voucher is checked and the amount is provisionally deducted from the shopping basket at the SOT. However, the voucher is not debited immediately as usual, as the customer could cancel or simply walk away from the SOT.

If the process is then carried out at the SOT, the voucher is checked again. Any shortfall (including fraud due to interim utilisation at another SOT / cash desk, etc.) is to be reported to the tax office. ) is hereby prevented. The available / required amount will then be debited from the voucher. If there is a shortfall, a message is issued at the SOT that a certain difference still needs to be paid at the till.

If the payment process at the SOT consists of web voucher and card payment and then the card payment cannot be executed or is cancelled, the user can choose what he wants to do at the SOT:

  1. Pay new

  2. Pay at the checkout

  3. abort

Additional fall-back:

If there is a problem at this time that the credit cannot be issued (e.g. no Internet), a receipt will be printed with clear information that you should go to a cash desk (for crediting). The credit balance can be paid out at the checkout or, if it is working again, the voucher payment can be cancelled (and the amount credited again). Please train your operators in the safe handling of vouchers and voucher orders from the SOT.

If the voucher or bonus system is activated, the voucher button is displayed under payment methods:

The scanning process on the scanner starts automatically as soon as the dialogue (Scan voucher) is displayed. If a PIN is required, the dialogue for entering the PIN opens after scanning. The next button becomes active when the user has entered the voucher code or PIN in full

If the voucher code is valid, the voucher dialogue will open. The payment method can be selected via Pay. The display of the data depends on the settings and their values, but some are displayed as standard:

Please select is only displayed if payment by web voucher and collecting points have been activated. The system checks whether the voucher can be used for a full payment. If this is the case, a payment is made with the voucher, the user is forwarded to the payment process (voucher payment), the payment process begins and the amount is debited from the voucher. If this is not the case, an instalment will be paid. The user is redirected to select the payment method for the remaining amount:

If the voucher code is not valid, an error message will be displayed. The user can choose whether to re-enter the code or cancel the process:
