POS boundaries and location systems
This applies to all Hypersoft POS systems:
- Maximum 1,000 cash registers and mobile devices per location .
- Maximum 1,000 positions within a booking process (incl. cancellations)
- Maximum 10,000 sites (approximately) in association with a head office
- Maximum 1,000,000 open operations simultaneously (previously increasing runtimes in sub-areas)
Nevertheless, these are theoretical upper limits. In individual cases, even ten to twenty mobile devices or cash registers can place special demands on the infrastructure. Therefore, all system sizes above a total of twenty booking units require a project management check, the necessity of which is then decided by Hypersoft on a case-by-case basis.
Systems with several locations
The maximum number of sites in a Hypersoft network is 10,000. With the Hypersoft Suite, you can control approx. 10,000 locations with one central office at the current database status. With the total use of this data model, the utilization of the database per location - with simultaneous use of all programs and functions - is approximately 15%.
In rare cases, sites are connected via a LAN and without web clearing.
If you connect several clients in a LAN directly to a central server (without clearing), the database load is multiplied by the fact that you do not use web clearing. This means that you can connect a much smaller number of only about seven clients in this way, but in which there are no known limitations with regard to points of sale, stations and cash registers. Thus, from this limit, web clearing must be used in a local LAN with more than seven local clients (not sales outlets).
