Things to note about the Task Planner
The creation of a task can be done at any station. Execution is usually at the main unit, but can be set up for a slave unit during report dispatch, restart and data backup. If you have already created tasks, the parameters of the task are displayed in the respective fields. Initially, all setting options are deactivated. Click on New or Change to activate them.
The Task Planner provides you with automations in different categories:
Please pay attention to the information and be aware of your actions when doing things like rebooting and backing up. If necessary, observe the first results of your configurations as if they were a test.
The Task Planner in head offices with locations
In a central office, the Task Planner can be started in the respective client in order to make settings for this client. These settings then only apply to the client at the head office, the settings are not transferred between the head office and the location.
The outlet clearing does not particularly support the Task Planner. It can be used normally at the cash registers running in the network at Task Planner.
Securing the data backup
Incorrect parameters for the data backup are checked by the programme itself and corrected if possible. If the programme detects certain settings in the configuration of the data backup, a mail is sent in the background which is used by us for statistical purposes. There is no reaction from us in the standard, the following is emailed:
-
No data backup set up
-
Backup takes place on the same drive
-
Only master data is saved (no transaction data)
Task Shutdown Timer
A faulty completion task can prevent further executions. After a maximum of 30 minutes, the programme decides to execute further tasks in these cases.
