Configuring the Web Clearing Server

 

The web clearing server is set up by specially trained Hypersoft staff. The installation is project work requiring planning.

Installing the Microsoft IIS

Internet Information Services 5.0

Install the Windows component before running the Web Clearing Server Setup. The standard selection of /IIS components is sufficient for this. Activate IIS without having to select the details:

Executing the Web Clearing Server Setup

The program HypWCServer.exe starts the standard setup, after the welcome and license agreement dialog the required settings of the workstation are checked. The setup is canceled if:

  1. No Hypersoft Suite 2008 is installed
  2. the workstation is not configured as a server or stand-alone
  3. The work center is a server of a branch ( ! )

If the check is positive, a dialog for starting the installation appears (without offering a drive). If required, ASP.NET for /IIS will be installed. Two virtual directories are created and registered under the defaultIIS website. By default, Windows sets up the location for the IIS default web site under C:\Inetpub\wwwroot, the Web Clearing Server files are installed there.

The /hscserver directory contains the web application that the respective web clearing clients access. In /CashInformation you will find the website with the data from the matched branches or the web clearing clients. The website can be accessed at the URL http://<YourServer>/Cashinformation/Login.aspx.

Attention, manual adjustment required: The local user IUSR_<Computername> of the workstation must be added to the Power Users group.

Testing the Hypersoft Web Clearing Server

In the Control Panel, under Administrative Tools, go to Computer Management. In the /HSCServer directory under the default website of the IIS service, right-click on the HSCServer.asmx file and select Browse.

 

 

If the following HTML page is displayed, the installation is successful and the Web Clearing Server is ready for connections to branch systems.

For the interface to the branch system, a valid Internet address of the server is required, which must be set in the Web Clearing Client in each connected branch.

The logo displayed in CashInformation can be customized by editing the CashInformation/YourLogo/YourLogo.bmp file.
