Define user profiles

There are two areas for editing userClosed As users we call people who operate programs, in our case mostly the users of the MCP and the contained programs. profiles.

The userClosed As users we call people who operate programs, in our case mostly the users of the MCP and the contained programs. profiles are displayed on the left (the administrator was created by Hypersoft). In addition, there are the profiles plant manager, department manager and employee.

User profiles inherit their rights to pass these on to subordinate profiles. The administrator of a branch has all rights (depending on the program licenses). These rights can be released or denied to the subordinate profile.

Special rights of the administrator...

The administrator can edit his or her own profile completely. An administrator can also edit other administrator profiles (only those of the current client or those assigned or subordinate to it).

The plant manager receives all rights once, which the administrator was entitled to at the time of data creation. The head of department, in turn, can only have a maximum of the same rights as the plantmanager. All rights for settings are removed from the Employee profile. You can create profiles derived from the employee to restrict certain authorizations.

The rights that depend on other rights are highlighted. Rights can be switched on and off. A circle symbol indicates whether subordinate rights are allowed or forbidden.

Symbol Meaning
The right is allowed and all subordinate rights are allowed, if possible.
The right is permitted, but at least one subordinate right is prohibited.
The right is forbidden and so are all subordinate rights.
The permission cannot be assigned because the higher-level userClosed As users we call people who operate programs, in our case mostly the users of the MCP and the contained programs. profile does not have this permission.

Rights can be highlighted by the search to find them faster. A lock symbol behind the search field indicates that these rights may not be edited.

Withdrawal of authorizations

Removing rights from a profile can affect underlying profiles (subprofiles).

On the screenshot you can see that the lowest right Hypersoft Shop was taken away from the manager.

For all subprofiles that had the authorization, this is removed together with the profile above it (the profiles are also marked as changed).
