Start with or without Stock Management
With the Hypersoft // system, you can use one of the connected inventory management programmes from other manufacturers and the Hypersoft Controller Stock Management programme. Since the topic is so versatile, these different solutions are not necessarily in competition, but cover different requirements or expectations. In some cases, they even complement each other. For example, even large systems use Hypersoft Stock Management in operating at the sites and transfer some selected information to a central ERP system. Whatever you decide, you can be sure that you have options to connect other systems functionally and successfully to a Hypersoft // system.
In addition to the usual item information on the function of a POS system, Stock Management provides additional information. Since, as mentioned above, the scope can be versatile, the amount of information per item also increases based on it's requirements. Examples of this: inventory management requires target stocks, ordering requires supplier and order data, revenue evaluations require purchase prices, electronic menus and shops require allergens and ingredients (nutritional values), automation requires stock and target stock data, control requires detailed packaging and unit data. And as if that weren't enough, in most of these cases you also have to accurately create, adhere to and maintain recipes. As a rule of thumb, you can allow about five times as much time to set up a POS system with stock management information than to set it up without stock management. As a rule, these investments pay off so quickly that it is definitely worthwhile to deal with the topic. Just imagine you would be able to save at least 3% of the cost of goods in the future and have at least 3% more turnover. After the initial investment with the creation of the master data and adaptation of the operating procedures, you do not need to assume that you will need significantly more time than without Stock Management for the daily routines, as the tasks are the same and are simply solved more efficiently.

If you want to work without a connected merchandise management system or Hypersoft Stock Management, then the Hypersoft Item Master is very easy to use, as you only use the functions that are of interest to you. In addition, you can still use many of the conveniences that the item master provides for you, such as the recipe calculation, which we deliberately provide without stock management. The manual is written so that you don't have to learn the things you don't need.
Create simple sales items(recipes without ingredients)....
If you work with the controller, it is better to create the basic articles first, which will later be combined into sales articles in the form of recipes. Known limitations with multiple seat use
The item master is intended for simultaneous use at several work centers. Only when deleting or creating new items, as well as when changing item numbers, should you limit yourself to one workstation for the duration so that you do not inadvertently influence each other.
