Getting started with the controller
When entering your company data in the controllers, you should proceed in this order as far as possible. This is a guideline, the optimal procedure may vary depending on the company and your requirements.
- Take the 4 decisions from the previous introduction.
- Make sure that users (staff data) are set up.
- Make sure that the client data is set up.
- Enter the main, merchandise, and subgroups if you use this subdivision.
- Create a control concept for your business. Hypersoft or your sales partner will be happy to help you.
- Enter the names of your sales and storage points. The term main warehouse is a static description of the CONTROLLER, which stands for the destination warehouse after the arrival of the goods by the suppliers. You can also name your own warehouses and select them as destinations.
- Create the most important suppliers for your items.
- Enter the items. Normally, you start with the basic items that make up the recipe items. If you want to put the POS system into operation first, create the recipes without ingredients for the time being.
- Assign the items to the points of sale and stock where they are to be available. By the way, you determine the flow of goods by assigning the items "from and to".
- You store your internal requirements for items in the stock specifications for your warehouses and sales points.
- Enter the actual stock by entering the current stock at the points of sale and points of storage.
Tips for a quick programme start
The tips in this section can save you a lot of time when setting up the controller, provided these suggestions are applicable in your operation.
Stock specifications...
If you want to work with different stock specifications in the points of sale, we recommend that you start with only a few settings. So they only need to correct deviations that occur initially once. Once you have gained the necessary experience, simply copy these stock specifications and change only those items whose stock differs from the reference. You can also copy the specifications of individual items directly in the stock specifications.
Enter starting stocks...
When you start with the controller, you must enter the stocks from the main warehouse and the points of sale once. Depending on the size of your business, it may be easier to move items from the points of sale to the warehouse, group partial deliveries together if necessary, and enter only this complete inventory. Later, you use the MRP monitor to distribute the goods. This ensures that the stocks at the points of sale are correct automatically and that you have the opportunity to check your entries for the stock specifications. You will also receive the booking data for the start inventory.
Duplicate outlets...
You can duplicate a point of sale in point of sale management. This copies the items, the stock specifications, and the kitchen capacity. This procedure is particularly suitable if you are just starting automation and control with some or all of the points of sale.
