Assign dispensing systems to stations
- A cash station takes over the communication with a dispensing system. For this purpose, the dispensing system must be set up at (only) one of the pay stations.
- At least the range and the input price level must be set for each cash register station that is to be used with this dispensing system.
Start the program Stationsfrom the program group System settings. Select the desired station and press the Edit button from the upper button bar.

Dispensing area |
In order for the POS station to communicate with a dispensing system, the area of the dispensing system must be set here. You make the settings for the area itself in global station management. Further documentation: Set up dispensing areas |
input price level |
Choose the price level for customer postings. Further documentation: Price levels and debit-side postings |
main outlet |
The selected main point of sale determines where the system first searches for a function number to assign the posting. Without this setting, no debit-side postings can be received in the POS system. The goods movement takes place in the point of sale set here. Further documentation: Dispensing systems Function number |
Dispensing system active and interface |
This setting is for the cash register, which is the only one that communicates with the dispensing system. With other cash registers the counter remains inactive. If you use a serial interface, select the interface and the communication speed in baud (standard 9600 baud - specified by the dispensing system). If you use the TCP/IP protocol for a network interface to the dispensing system, enter the IP address of the dispensing system (to be set up in the dispensing system). Use the setting Dispensing system active only once per dispensing system interface - all other POS systems communicate with the dispensing system via this one POS system. If you use serial interfaces, you should use a standard serial port on the PC for a secure interface and not Multi I/O cards or USB/Serial converters. |
Type of dispensing system |
The Type of dispensing system setting determines the communication between the dispensing system and the dispensing system. Type Gruber... The Gruber type is for all Gruber dispensing systems or communication devices. Type WMF (E-protocol)... Type WMF is for WMF dispensing systems and devices that support the E protocol. If the dispensing system uses the WMF protocol, but is operated without an operator number (waiter no.), the WMF coffee machine must be used as an alternative type. Habimat... Supports the interface of Habimat dispensing systems. WMF Coffee Maker... WMF coffee machines use a protocol similar to the WMF E protocol. This setting allows you to connect WMF coffee machines without additional communication devices if necessary. The functionality is restricted to credit-side postings. According to WMF, this simple one cannot always function without problems. We recommend that you control the WMF coffee machines via a Gruber dispensing system. |
