DON and MAX
(The Orderman DON was terminated at the end of 2013.)
The DON/MAX devices must be configured before initial commissioning or if required. Due to changes in the firmware and different variants of the devices, we refer you to the manufacturer's documentation enclosed with the devices or accompanying firmware updates. There you will also find instructions for the care of the device, instructions for handling the battery, instructions for setting the display range and safety instructions.
When you receive the device from Hypersoft, it is already set up.
Only use original suitable touch pens to operate the devices. A ballpoint pen will damage the touch screen.
Switching on and off
The on/off switch is located in the upper left corner of the DON/MAX. With an object such as the supplied stylus pen, you can press into the recess to operate the switch.
After switching on, information indicates that the DON/MAX is establishing the connection with the base station.
Depending on the setting of the device, the display switches off automatically after a certain time. However, this means that the device is only in standby mode and is therefore still ready for operation. A short press of the on/off switch is sufficient to get the DON/MAX ready for your inputs again.
You can restart the DON/MAX by briefly pressing the on/off switch twice during operation. You can recognize the restart by the Orderman lettering in the display area. After connecting to the CLOU-Mobile server, you will be asked to enter your secret number again.
If the DON/MAX does not execute the inputs exactly, the instrument must be calibrated.
- Turn off the DON/MAX.
- Press permanently in the middle of the display area and simultaneously press the on/off button until the text Calibrate appears.
- Release the button in the display area and release the on/off switch at the same time.
- The first crosshair appears. Press exactly in its center so that another crosshair appears.
- Repeat the procedure in the lower four calibration points of the keyboard area (these are indicated by small circles near the corners).
- Answer the save question with Yes.
Firmware Update for MAX and DON
The firmware is the program of the Orderman manufacturer, which is installed on the device. It is developed further just like other software programs. In order to be able to use the regular improvements and new functions, we transfer the current firmware after own examination and recommend their installation for the use of new functions.
- Install the Orderman Service Pack on the workstation to which the base station is connected. The setup can be found at (x):\Hypers-!\AddOn\OrdermanFirmware\OrdermanFirmware.exe.
- By viewing the CLOU-Mobile Server (in the Basictab), note the serial port used and then terminate the CLOU-Mobile Server.
- Start the program Oman.exe with the parameter of the noted COM port. For example: Oman.exe 1 for COM port number 1).
- Take the MAX or DON. Press the input area (below) and hold the power button until CALIBRATE appears on the display.
- Then release the power button and the input area.
- Briefly press the power button again. The Orderman Setupappears.
- Briefly press the DON or MAX lettering.
- Briefly press the power button again. Extended Setupappears.
- Press the Update icon.
- Now a check is performed in which the firmware of the DON or MAX is compared with the installed firmware. If the firmware in the DON/ MAX is older than the currently installed one, the Oman.exe will automatically transfer the new firmware to the DON/ MAX.
- Repeat points 4 to 10 for each additional device.
charging stations
The charging stations for the mobile devices are a useful addition. Even if a mobile device can be charged directly via the plug-in power supply unit, it only has a safe storage location with a charging station. Very practical is the possibility to charge the DON/MAX directly and at the same time with an extra battery.
Correct handling of the Max charging station
Improper handling of the Max charging station may damage the battery contacts. Therefore, please make sure to insert the battery into the charging station in the correct order and to remove it again in the reverse order.
Inserting the battery:
- insertion
- Fold forward
Remove the battery:
- Fold back the battery
- Pull upwards and remove battery
