Orderman Smart Swap Settings
With the Smart Swap function of the CLOU-Mobile you can assign a table area to a cash register programming. If a process within the number range is then opened with the mobile device, the CLOU-Mobile loads the programming template of the corresponding POS number and uses the printer settings assigned to this POS station once when the process is completed. In contrast, the layout (if layout change is activated) is also retained for the following processes. If the Keep Area switch is enabled, the system will continue to behave in this state until Smart Swap is used to give a new instruction with an assigned table number; - or the mobile device is restarted. If the Maintain area switch is not active, the status is reset when the process is completed.
The Smart Swap on the CLOU-Mobile can now:
- load other items,
- load other product groups,
- Redirect order receipt and invoice printout,
- load the start price levels of the respective cash register (if you activatea price level with the setting Always has priority on the DON/MAX, the start price levels are no longer changed by the Smart Swap),
- If you activate the Change Layout option button, the complete keyboard layout of the corresponding cash register is also loaded.
The Smart Swap tab
The Smart Swap tab allows you to use different configurations based on specific transaction numbers. You can have destinations for print output and mobile device programming changed automatically.
To set the table number ranges, enter the desired POS number and table number range. The Save icon allows you to save any number of entries in the table.
The Smart Swap function can only use different cash register settings if these cash registers are also started in the Hypersoft network. If the required deviating data is not available as running Hypersoft POS applications, you can also set up subsystems.
Bluetooth backup printer
Alternate printers can be assigned during Smart Swap. This allows one invoice form to be used for all Orderman devices, even though not all Orderman have a Bluetooth printer. If a company works with Orderman and Bluetooth printers, but not all devices have a printer, it is possible to use Smart Swap to define alternative printers for the respective areas. This function is also useful in the event that a Bluetooth printer should fail.
The Query BT Printer Mode radio button controls the behaviour of the local Bluetooth printers. If alternate printers are stored in the Smart Swap setting and this option switch is activated, when the operator logs on to the Orderman, he is asked whether he wants to use this alternate printer: "Do you want to use the Bluetooth alternate printer from SmartSwap?
If you answer YES, the alternate printer is used according to the Smart Swap specifications, regardless of whether your own Bluetooth printer has failed. If NO is selected, the existing procedure is retained and the own Bluetooth printer is used and only the global fallback printer is used if it fails.
If more than one CLOU MOBILE for Orderman System is used within a network (e.g. if the base is directly connected via COM port to a POS terminal), you can optionally use the Smart Swap of this POS terminal. The UseLocal Smart Swap option switch is used for this purpose. Otherwise, this system (locally connected to the cash register) also uses the Smart Swap of the server / main cash register. If the local location matches the server location, the option button is grayed out.
