Configure trading areas

A trading area delimits the storage location of your goods within your company. Just like the main warehouse, each point of sale can manage target stocks, so that you can not only order from suppliers (for the main warehouse), but also order from suppliers (for the target stock of the points of sale) from the main warehouse, or order directly from points of sale.

One point of sale can be used by any number of cash registers. You can use the controller to manage any number of points of sale and expand them with licenses at any time (optional accessories).

An item is only entered once in the item master. Then its inbound delivery and internal distribution are mapped by assigning to warehouses and points of sale in the Manage Points of Sale program.

For cashier mode, you can assign sales items (even without Retail Management) so that only the items that are to be available for sale at the points of sale are offered for sale. For this there is the Direct Item Assignment.

Priority when posting at POS / mPOS

If the item is loaded via a merchandise category, only the items assigned to the point of sale are displayed. If the item (as an item direct key) is firmly on the keyboard, items can also be displayed that cannot be booked due to current settings.

When you post, the system first checks whether the item was loaded using a merchandise category with the point of sale function or using a macro consisting of the point of sale and the merchandise category. Then the booking is assigned to the given trading area - and only its items are displayed.

If an item is posted with a point of sale that does not exist at the destination, the posting cannot be carried out and you receive a message to this effect.
