TM-Uxx Dot-matrix printer
TM-300, 220 or similar device names denote dot matrix printers from Epson. Hypersoft often uses them in the kitchen. Normal paper and dot matrix printers have simply proved their worth in the harsh everyday kitchen environment and thermal paper turns black immediately under hot heat lamps and attached to oven surfaces with magnets, for example. The noise during printing also attracts attention. However, if you don't necessarily need normal paper, you should definitely consider using a thermal printer in the kitchen. There are several arguments in favour of this:
-
The dot matrix printer has narrow lettering, which means that your labelling for the kitchen also needs to be shorter. This is therefore a constant secondary task in article maintenance.
-
You will need special paper and additional colour ribbons for the kitchen. Changing the colour ribbons too late can lead to illegibility and errors.
-
Due to their contrast, thermal prints can also be read from a greater distance.
-
The ribbon of course has the advantage of also being able to print red, but with the thermal printer the inverted printout is also very noticeable.
-
Thermal printers can also print symbols (e.g. 3 chilli peppers for hot) very quickly with our graphics technology.
-
If it is important to attract the attention of staff at low capacity, a dot matrix printer has an advantage, but very clear signalling devices can also be intelligently controlled for all printers.
