Set up cashier mode

You program the first page of a booking assistant in the keyboard programming. You determine the position of the items and functions as well as the layout. By the possible functions of the booking assistant which serve to divide, change, exchange, add and remove, further dialogs for the cashier mode are automatically created.

The posting wizard is versatile and can therefore also be used in areas where no divisor is used.

There is a group of special cash register functions to control the booking assistant. These functions all start with BA-xxx (booking wizard). If at least one of these functions is available on a layout, it is recognized by the program and the booking assistant mode is used when you switch to this layout.

By setting up a layout change, you go from the standard cashier mode to the booking assistant. The layout change can be labeled like a merchandise category key so that it gives the operator a consistent picture when using the booking wizard.

The functions BA-Nextand BA-Exit are optional, since their functions can be controlled via the automatically displayed green OK hook. Decide for yourself whether you want to add the corresponding functions to the keyboard and label them.

However, no other of the usual cash register functions can be used in the booking assistant (they can be positioned, but do not work). The layout of the booking assistant is only one-sided, even if the 2nd page is displayed in the keyboard programming.

Cashier mode supports any number of posting wizards (within the available 100 layouts), so you can set up a layout change for each group of items.

Note:

The booking wizard supports the change of predefined components (other type of cheese) and additional bookings, but no standard queries. To do this, you must set up special items and create at least one additional key (Use free stock).

Restricted operation list

The posting wizard uses a transaction list (left) that has fewer functions than the normal cashier mode transaction list (the usual functions that are available by holding for a long time and with the appropriate authorizations are not supported here). After completing the booking wizard and returning to the normal cashier mode, the bookings are in the transaction list and the usual functions are available.

Use free texts

To be able to use text information in the booking assistant, use the cash register function Free texts and position an additional key in the booking assistant for each of the desired texts. The texts can be added to any booking. Even with half items, texts are generally at the end and are not assigned to one or the other half. On the order receipt it becomes clearer that the texts are to be understood as "footer text" for a complete booking. In the case of "On two plates" it becomes clear that this should apply to both halves, for example.

Control of the booking assistant

  • If a booking is open, the green OK hook works like BA NEXT. If no booking is open, the green OK is checked like BA EXIT.
  • Pressing the green hook can also be triggered by the gesture downwards.
  • By subtracting an operator key, the posting wizard closes without posting incomplete items in it. Whole items and items with 2 halves are concluded and booked. If the operator key is removed, any existing half entries are discarded.
  • You can also save pressing the BA Next button by simply pressing another item or the BA Full/Divide function (or the green check mark).
  • However, BA NEXT does not work if the 2nd half of a split item is still missing. A message will then appear: "Please select next part".
  • If no booking is active, the booking assistant is closed completely by clicking on the green tick again, or with the BA-Exit function (which you can of course label on the keyboard as required).
