Table transfer / customer transfer
You can use table transfer whenever you want to transfer bookings from one table to another. This is necessary, for example, when guests are moving in. The function is also available as a customer transferto transfer postings to a customer.
Transferring in practice...
To transfer postings from one activity to another, proceed as follows:
- First, the system calls up the activity that is to issue postings.
- Enter the number of the operation (table or customer) to which you want to transfer and press the function key Table transfer (or customer transfer). If you have booked items for which an order receipt has not yet been created, the order receipt is now triggered automatically.
- If the destination (table or customer) is a protected area of another operator or an already opened operation of another operator, the recipient must now give his consent to receive the bookings by logging in using a key or secret number.
- The entries to be submitted can be selected using the arrow keys and moved to the right using the arrow symbols.
- Select one of the icons to complete the transfer, with the choice to go to the source operation (left) or the target operation (right).
You can press the target operation above the list (in the picture e.g. table 3 is selected) to transfer with OK and immediately switch to the target operation. If no table is selected and you confirm with OK, the transfer will take place and you will return to the cashier mode.
Transfer and revision protection...
If this transfer would violate a revocation protection or another operator has the operation responsibility and you do not have the authorisation to access all tables/customers, then the logon of the other operator is required to be able to execute the transfer. For this purpose, the transfer login dialogue appears, which can be operated with all the usual keys and always also by PIN (operator secret number). After entering the PIN, press the key with the hash #.
Number of customers when merging...
When you apply the number of customers, when you fully merge transactions, they are added together - so a transaction with 2 customers and a transaction with 3 customers becomes a transaction with 5 customers. When individual bookings are transferred, the number of customers in the target transaction remains decisive. The postings in the remaining transaction keep their number of customers.
Special function Operator Queries
You can Query target operator when transferring to new tables...function in the operator authorisations... activate. If you then transfer an operation to a new operation number, a query appears as to which operator should be responsible for the operation (for the target operation). If you do not select an operator, the person who executes the transfer is responsible for the process.
The table transfer function can also be used to transfer seats or assign seat numbers. For example, to prepare the splitting of invoices or simply to correctly record the turnover of guests.
Examples with table number 8 open:
- 8,4 + table transfer will transfer a seat (table remains) to seat number 4.
- 9.2 + Table transfer performs a table transfer to table 9 and place 2.
- .3 + table transfer will transfer a seat (table remains) to seat 3.
Please note that the order receipt must already have been issued in order to use this function.
