terminal commander

The Remote Commander is connected to the Terminal Commander which runs on every station through the autostart (will be installed with the setup). The Terminal Commander runs automatically and is not operated directly. The programme checks the system environment and then starts the programmes (for example, the cash register terminal).

When you exit the started programs or call the Terminal Commander, it offers control elements:

The Terminal Commander can be indicated by an icon from the notification area (right mouse click on it). He "takes care" of starting the programs and the communication with the Remote Commander and ensures the environment for starting the Hypersoft programs to a large extent. It also creates an independent working environment for emergency operation.

All start with IIS restarts the /IIS and all programs.

At the top right the station number and the client number are displayed, this is especially useful for remote access for orientation. If necessary, you can select a program to start or stop it. With Close window the Terminal Commander will continue to run, but is only visible in the notification area.

At the Terminal Commander you can see if remote access would be possible via the Remote Commander.

Drive authorisations...

The programme checks all Hypersoft folders for Create, Change, Write & Read/Delete permissions. Errors are logged internally and an incident is created automatically.

Location active...

The Terminal Commander observes the Location inactive switch in the master information. This will not start NoCOO / FTP / and other tools.

Stop and start...

Multi-selection: Several entries can be selected and then used with "Stop/Start".

If the switch for "IIS / mPOS Client / MCP" if not turned on , these will not be terminated with the Stop/Start All command.

Programme check before starting...

The Terminal Commander checks whether a programme that is to be started is already running and then integrates this process. This means that programmes that are already running are not restarted when Terminal Commander is started.

Automate Terminal Commander restart...

Especially if the stations (PCs) are rarely restarted, an automatic restart of the Terminal Commander can be set up. See for this Automating web clearing and restarting with Task Planner.

Special function Start delay

In case of problems with the system environment, a start delay can be enabled when establishing the network connection. With an entry in the WIN.INI under:

[HYPERSOFT-KASSE],"DELAY=20" - waits another 20 seconds if the network cannot be established.
