If a TSE fails, the note appears on the invoice receipt. We recommend that you set up the TSE Error Report for automatic delivery or create it if required.

Your responsibility in the event of a TSE failure
With regard to a TSE failure, the following must be done

7. failure of the certified technical safety device....
7.1 Downtimes and reason of a certified technical safety device shall be documented (cf. AEAO to § 146a, No. 2.1.6). This documentation can also be automated by the electronic recording system.

7.2 If the electronic recording system can continue to operate without the functioning certified technical security device, this failure must be evident on the receipt. This can be done by the missing transaction number or by any other unique identification.

7.3 Insofar as the failure only affects the certified technical security device, it shall not be objected if the electronic recording system continues to be used until the reason for the failure has been eliminated. The basic obligation to issue a voucher remains unaffected by the shortfall, even if not all values required for the voucher (cf. AEAO to § 146a, No. 5.8) be provided by the certified technical safety device. In this case, the receipt information on date and time must be provided by the electronic recording system.

7.4 The obligation to issue receipts pursuant to section 146a (2) AO shall only cease to apply in the event of a complete failure of the recording system or in the event of a failure of the printing or transmission unit. In the event of failure of the print or transmission unit for the electronic receipt, the recording system must i. S. d. § 146a para. 1 sentence 1 AO in conjunction with § 1 sentence 1 KassenSichV may still be used.

7.5 The Contractor shall immediately remedy the respective cause of failure, take measures to eliminate it and thereby ensure that the requirements of Section 146a AO are complied with again as quickly as possible.
This is particularly your responsibility...
In the event of a defect and thus "prolonged decommissioning", this must be reported to the tax office within the scope of the obligation to report, if there is the possibility to report.
