Set Up Order Group and Printer

Items booked on the POS or mPOS system can be displayed on the Kitchen Monitors. In general, it is like an order receipt: individual items are printed, but also items with supplements or preparation requests. A steak / medium with salad and vegetables produces four entries. On the other hand, internal information about the recipe is suppressed. Often a receipt is printed by the KITCHEN MONITOR system at the end. The system has a special layout and setting options for this, since a talon (translated control section) is placed on the plate.

Items that are to be managed by the Kitchen Supervisor and displayed on a Kitchen Monitor must be assigned to an order group. The items are assigned to a virtual printer via the order groups (this virtual printer does not physically exist, its name is only used for assigning the order to the Kitchen Supervisor).

Within order groups, the items can be combined into several groups. For example, if youuse a Kitchen Station order groupand a Bar Station order group, the respective KITCHEN MONITOR system can combine the items within an order and distinguish between the completion of the Kitchen Station item and the Bar Station item.

The printer receives the port (selection at port and interface) Non-Print. The order group must be assigned the option Control File Kitchen Monitor or Ticket Printer.

To print finished orders from the Kitchen Monitor, the Kitchen Monitor is assigned a receipt printer that is set up independently of the virtual printer.

Note for last item

When items are assembled at the passport for transportation to the orderers, it may be important to serve, package or hand over all items of a transaction or at least a menu at the same time.

So that you know when the last item in a transaction was completed, you can enter any text for the last item in a purchase order that belongs together. This text will then appear on the completion receipt.
