Cashless Top-Up Terminal

The Cashless Top-Up Terminal is a self-service program that can be used to top up prepaid credit on customer cards or customer accounts without cash. It is intended for Attended Use and therefore not secured against vandalism.

The system can be operated without writable cards and card readers (with the Omnikey Reader) with the Hypersoft SQL database. It is also capable of storing and using the credit balance with the DIVA Box on the respective card media used.

Compatibility of the systems

Variant with offline prepaid cards:

Requires a Hug-Witschi card reader and standard EC devices with ZVT connection, for example from epay (no Hypersoft Pay powered by Adyen). The credit is written to the chip card and Mifare Classic, Mifare Desfire and Legic cards can be used.

Variant with online prepaid cards:

Requires Omnikey Reader and EC devices from AFC with elPAY connection. Here, the credit is only managed in the Hypersoft database and operated with Mifare Classic chip cards.

No Emergency Operation...

The terminal is not compatible with Cashless Top-Up Terminal. A lock screen then appears:

Use Cashless Top Up Terminal

The program waits for a card to be read in in order to be able to access the account.

Once the card has been issued, the system asks for the amount to be charged to the account. For information and control, the current credit balance and a history of the last transactions in the account are displayed.

After entry/selection of the amount, the confirmation prompt appears:

Now the amount is transferred to the external EC/credit card device and the program directs the user to use it to make the payment:

The desired amount is then topped up to the prepaid account.

Administrative operation

You can import a user card to access the administrative commands.

You can then execute the checkout cut (not possible or necessary with Hypersoft Pay powered by Adyen), shut down the system or switch to the operating system.

Automatic rebooking of credit balances (off-balance procedure)

If a prepaid (chip) card is to be topped up by cashless payment, but is removed from the reader before the new credit is written, the credit is topped up the next time it is read at the Hypersoft POS or Top-Up Terminal so that the credit can be used.
