Set up ticket printer
Select the Printer Settings program from the Printers & Interfaces program group.
Select TicketPrinter as the printer type. The best interface is a serial interface. Do not use a USB to serial converter, but a high quality real serial port to establish a secure interface to a ticket printer.
If you select TCP/IP or LPT, you can address a BOCA printer, but you must then use a Windows printer driver from BOCA and call this driver Printer Boca. Further documentation: BOCA ticket printer
The parallel and USB ports of the BOCA printer are also supported. However, due to the ongoing status check of the printer, a serial connection is always preferable, because the status check of the printer cannot be done via USB/PAR.

DinA4 layout for free ticket types |
Here you can set up a template that prints a ticket on a DinA4 printer. Ticket type 6 ( season ticket ) and the new free types are printed on a DinA4 printer depending on the switch position. |
Print speed Handshake |
Select the print speed. The Reduced printing speed works with a pause in the confirmed communication procedure that may be required by the printer (depending on age and type). The ticket printer module uses the hardware handshake procedure to check whether a printer is available and ready. If a ticket printer works without handshake, error messages can be avoided by switching off handshake. |
Rotate printout by 180 | Special printers require the ticket to be rotated. |
Status check after each ticket | With the option Status check after each ticket, the program waits for a response from the printer after each print (secure procedure). As long as no tickets are lost, you can normally work with the Highest print speed setting and without status check. |
Use printer locally only | If you do not have to store the print jobs on the server, but only produce tickets locally, you should select the option Use printer locally. |
