Log off operator

This function logs out the operator at the POS who has previously logged in with a secret number, key or card. This protects the POS system from further entries under its login.

For cash register systems without an operator lock and where several operators work per cash register, you can integrate the function as the last one in the closing macros so that the operators are automatically logged out. However, note the fraud risk without locks, as also described in the Fraud Fraud Protection User Authorisations section.

Automatic key out for operator log off

If no cash register function Key out is used and the operator logout is used, a transaction that is being processed is first checked to see if the transaction consists only of a cancellation before an order. If this is the case, the process is closed (in the standard).

Use the start operator with this function

If an operator has been assigned to the POS as the start setting, this start operator is automatically logged in again after the current operator has logged out with this function.
