The manual final report
The manual final report is the common method for closing a POS system. Finish with front office reporting or macro (with 9+9+ report). You receive this display for a normal day-end closing:
Completeness check of the stations involved...
The system checks at the end of the day whether all checkout stations are in a matching status or were when they were switched off. This is to avoid that, for example, individual stations were "unknowingly" disconnected from the network and still contain turnover. Depending on the settings, all operations must also be completed and all active operators must be accounted for.
If a cash register station has not reported for at least 3 minutes, the system assumes that the cash register is working in emergency mode, i.e. offline, and enters this in the list of cash registers stations with unclear status.
Repeat output of the daily closing...
You can repeat the printout of a cash register statement, e.g. if the first printout was unusable. Press the cash register function Output reports to call up the front office report generation.
You cannot use the output repetition by pressing a keyboard macro (e.g. 99 + output reports). The function must be the only one on the key.
The Front Office report dialogue opens:
Pressing the Close button starts the end-of-day check.
This allows you to repeat the checkout process, e.g. if the first printout was unusable. By pressing the button Print and Exit it is checked whether data for a new cash balance is available at all (i.e. it is checked whether any bookings have been made since the last balance). If this is not the case, a corresponding dialogue is displayed ( at the same time, the current date is checked to see whether reports from a trade are already available in the Front Office report archive. If this is the case, you can now simply print out these reports again:
After pressing YES, an archived report is printed out again on the printer (the header of the printout is marked "Copy", just like a printout from the archive system. If no data is available for closing and nothing current is available in the archive, the following note appears:
