Versions and Updates

Hypersoft provides you with programs and their updates. In MyHypersoft this happens regularly without your intervention. This also happens regularly in the desktop area, but the installation takes place on your end devices. You can choose whether this is always automatic or not by choosing Settings.

Hypersoft customers receive a program and updates for it. The updates you receive are updates, upgrades, and hotfixes. At Hypersoft, updates are collections of extensive improvements, for which there is also a setup (program for installation). Hotfixes usually complement such setups with small improvements and corrections. For this no new setup is created, because the program downloads itself for the installation or afterwards the available Hotfixes. Thus, Hypersoft's improvement cycle is in a constant state of flux. Major updates and additions that would be available from other companies through an upgrade are also available from Hypersoft as part of the updates.

For example, in both Germany and Austria, Hypersoft's market companions have created new programmes to comply with GDPdU, GoBD or the German Cash Register Ordinance, which have not infrequently caused extensive conversions and high costs. Hypersoft customers have received these new programs (without license costs) and have been able to seamlessly meet the new and now current requirements of the tax office. In fact, programs and functions are in high number and quality that are delivered this way to Hypersoft customers.

When we develop new programs, such as reservations, the program is not automatically included in updates, but the other programs will be compatible. You can then decide whether you want to extend the Hypersoft functionality to reservations in the future by ordering a reservation license.

Updates are currently released approximately every four months. These updates are described under News. The updates should be installed promptly, the best way to ensure this is to have updates installed automatically. Not installing updates for more than a year exposes you to many risks. To verify that you are authorized to receive updates, you can view the service status.

If we encounter requests, problems, or bugs that should not wait until the next update to fix, we create hotfixes. If there are serious issues concerning program versions that were before the last update, then we also create hotfixes for program versions that were up to one year ago.

Hotfixes are installed automatically. You will then receive a note in the MCP and can also inform yourself about it in the news. Your hypersoft system should therefore always be connected to the Internet in order to receive hotfixes. In the event of temporary disconnection from the Internet, updates will be made in any case, depending on the settings of the automation and hotfixes.
