Things to note about the Kitchen Monitor
All bookings flow from the POS system into the KITCHEN MONITOR system. The Kitchen Supervisor controls the bookings and distributes the individual items from these to the items assigned to them (stations). The items are displayed either with the help of the Kitchen Full Station or the Kitchen Row Station. The choice between these two techniques depends on the desired form of presentation and functional requirements. The number of these stations usually corresponds to the number of items in your kitchen.
Kitchen Full Station or Kitchen Row Stations...
While the Kitchen Full Stations should provide a comprehensive overview of the current and future task load for each item, the Kitchen Row Stations only display acutely due tasks. In both display formats, individual items can be marked as "started" and "completed".
The Kitchen Workflow Manager...
Finished items can be transferred to the Kitchen Workflow Manager and collected for further transactioning. Within the transaction chain, the Kitchen Workflow Manager corresponds to the steps following the items (stations), such as plating, checking, serving, etc. Each stage of the transaction passes your result on to the next until the dish can be handed out to the guest. A maximum of 4 Kitchen Workflow Managers can be set up. For each transaction stage, i.e. for each Kitchen Workflow Manager, the scope of the information that is to be displayed for a booking can be defined. This serves to limit the information per transaction stage to the required level.
Optimal resolution of the Kitchen Monitor System
Many dialogues can be set up so that the amount and format of the content is to your liking. The system is therefore optimal from (or with) a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels around Full HD. This does not apply to the Kitchen Supervisor, which can also run on standard POS stations that meet our POS requirements.
Variants and settings
The following information depth settings are possible:
1] All: all bookings
2] Posted: from posted upwards ( posted, displayed, in preparation and finished )
3] Displayed: displayed from ( due ) up ( see above ) )
4] In preparation: from "in progress" upwards ( see above) )
5] Finished: from "Finished" upwards ( see above) )
6] Booked [ +own ]
7] Shown [ +own ]
8] In preparation [ +own ]
9] Finished [ +own ]
+ own: the 4 stages of preparation and all items that have been transferred to the respective Kitchen Workflow Manager.
Example of setting options...
The setting of a workflow manager for the process level Plating would correspond to: [6] Booked [+own]. Thus, all items completed at the items (stations) are grouped according to their bookings and displayed on the Workflow Manager of this transaction stage, but not the items that have already been transferred to the Workflow Manager of the passport.
The Workflow Manager Pass, for example, allows you to set [1] and thus see the entirety of all bookings.
Two examples of typical configurations...
Example of a simple transaction in which only Kitchen Full Stations are used in the kitchen:
The last Kitchen Workflow Station or the last Kitchen Full Station will beserved as text for finishing "served" to complete the process.
The Kitchen Table View Monitor is an option and displays an overview of the tables and their status.
The goods issue is an option and enables the secure delivery of the passport to the customers/guests.
Superhero function on the Kitchen Monitor
The superhero function can give operations freely defined names or a recurring numbering. This is often used for self-collectors. See the chapter Superhero function.
Full Station, Row Station and Workflow Manager...
This monitor type displays the daily transaction number and/or the superhero name instead of the table number. For numerical values, TVN:... is prefixed; for names from the name list, the name is displayed directly.
New setting: "Show online order pick-up number".
Display external transaction numbers
In addition to superhero numbers, external delivery systems can use their "pick-up" process or delivery numbers, etc., as well. These are then also used instead of the table number on the display / receipts. The corresponding variable of the bond printing design was &VN.
Text indicator for online order
In the standard system, all online order transactions are prefixed with the text indicator OO. You can adjust this in the settings: Online Order.
You can print the pager number on receipts. If this is not included in the layout, the pager number is output instead of a table number. This allows you to output table numbers when using table numbers and receive the pager number at this point when using pager numbers.
Withhold bookings from the POS in a targeted manner
You can specifically hold back bookings from the POS so that they are then sent manually to the system later. See also Output receipt order automatically or individually. A related functionality is the Time-delayed order receipt control.
