Time-delayed order receipt control

If the delay cannot be initiated for an undefined reason, the order receipt is printed out immediately. A message informs the operator about this procedure.

The time-delayed order voucher control works every minute, which means that the voucher printing is always rounded off: the planned 30 second delay is printed immediately and 160 seconds after 2 minutes.

Avoid misunderstandings with delays: Delays in printing are not visible on the receipt printer until the printout is made. Especially if this function is new to you, you should use the Orderbon protocol to check and understand the effects and the stations involved. See the Fraud Protection Orderbon Protocol programme and within it, the Station responsible for delay section.

To use the function, you must activate the Time-delayed order receipt control switch at the participating stations.

Menu course on cumulated individual receipt

With time-delayed order receipt printing, not all items in a menu are always printed. In order to inform the recipients of the order receipt and the operator which items within the individual receipt still belong to this menu item, you can make a corresponding setting in the order receipts. This prints out the total number of items in addition to each individual receipt. This means that the individual receipt also has all bookings of the menu to which the item of the individual receipt belongs. At the end the number of all contained items of the menu is indicated additionally.

The additional item information about the associated items is in an area marked with a line of stars.

***********************************
Item information...
***********************************

If an operator books an item in addition to a previously printed menu, this receipt is created again. To inform you that part of the information for this new receipt already exists on another receipt, the corresponding items already printed on this receipt are marked with an exclamation mark at the beginning of the line.

Deactivating time-delayed order receipt control

During system setup or mixed operation with receipt printers and kitchen monitors, delayed order receipts may be unwanted. You can activatethe Kitchen Monitor System in the order voucher setting to generally deactivate the delay.

Cancellations with time-delayed order receipt control

If an item is cancelled that has not yet been printed as an order receipt, the delay is not changed. The order receipt is printed as planned, but together with the cancellation.

Please note that it may happen that cancelled items were previously printed "as info" with other items.

Examples for the use of preparation times

Example of a menu passage

FORWARD

**************************

Salad (without preparation time)

Plaice (5 minutes)

Fillet steak (10 minutes)

Sandwich (3 minutes)

**************************

If these items are booked on a transaction within a menu item, the receipt order is printed out as follows:

  1. The highest delay (fillet steak) is printed immediately with all items which have no delay (salad).
  2. The difference between the highest delay and the second highest delay of an item results in the time that elapses until the order receipt with the (or more) items is printed. So this is where the plaice order comes in after five minutes.
  3. After a further 2 minutes (i.e. with a total delay of 7 minutes), the order receipt for sandwich is printed.

If the requirements are met, all items of the menu are completed at the same time.

If the operator books further items in the transaction during the active delay and uses the same menu (before all items could be printed), the current booking is placed in the respective situation. If the operator had entered a plaice again 4 minutes after the order, both plaice would be printed - this plaice would be printed after one minute. If he books the plaice after 6 minutes, it would be printed out immediately, as would another steak. If this is not desired, the operator must use a different menu.

If you transfer an item with preparation time for which no order ticket has yet been printed, this item is treated on the target operation as if it had just been booked. The item will be placed there among the other items - possibly waiting for printing.
