mPOS Client landscape format

The mPOS Client landscape format is another variant that has been specially developed for the mPOS Client and the Freestyle app. This allows you to set a special landscape format that can be used ergonomically on Apple or Android tablets, for example.

New mPOS Client view in landscape format

The view is similar to the Hypersoft mPOS Tablet, but the most recently used processes are displayed in the menu on the right-hand side. This corresponds to the technology of the mPOS one-handed portrait formatin which the processes are displayed at the bottom. Highly simplified representation:

Otherwise, the system is customised to the special features of theHypersoft mPOS Tablet and also uses the standards of the mPOS system.

Set up mPOS Client landscape format

In the station settings, the Landscape format checkbox must be selected for an mPOS Client system in order to specify the format. For Freestyle devices, this setting must be made in the settings per device, as all Freestyle devices use a common setting and can be added dynamically.

Extension of keyboard programming for landscape format

Keyboard programming is described here: mPOS Keyboard

In the left-hand section (under the Info, Process list etc. buttons) there are the 3 skins for the handsets as before, but the landscape format option is new in the right-hand section. There you can select the appropriate skin for the landscape format via the selection list. The entries in the selection are identical to the customisable names for the mobile devices (dynamic naming). You can programme your own keyboard in landscape format by selecting Landscape format, setting the 3rd column => Groups / Full text fixed key extension as with Hypersoft mPOS Tablet.

The 3 handheld skins (if available) are automatically copied to the landscape format so that you can customise the programming on this basis (instead of starting from scratch).
