Compatibility of the payment terminals
With Hypersoft Pay powered by Adyen, Hypersoft offers a maximum of digital diversity around the topic of payment. In long-term partnerships, we have worked very successfully with other data centres so far and will continue to do so in the future.
In addition, we also support some terminals of other data centres and declare them as third-party terminals and non-partner data centres. Such integrations can only take place within the framework of project work.
Below you will find an overview of the technical possibilities that go far beyond a normal terminal connection.
data centers
Hypersoft works with multiple data centers to meet customer needs and preferences. As part of this collaboration, Hypersoft will broker a contract between the operator and a relevant partner data centre (or enter into it directly with you as with Hypersoft Pay powered by Adyen ). The partner computer centre then provides the operator with a compatible POS terminal. In this way, the operator receives POS terminals that are able to take full advantage of the unique functions that Hypersoft POS solutions offer only in cooperation with partner data centers.

Update follows...
In this context, please note the following areas:
Compatibility of the payment terminals
Payment provider functions with Hypersoft Pay
Special features on cooperation with the data centre: epay - Transact...
Terminals connected to the epay / Transact computer centre are connected via the so-called ZVT interface. Corresponding settings must be made in the Hypersoft POS solution.
Please note that only selected POS terminals with a firmware specially adapted for the Hypersoft POS solution may be used.

Compatibility of the partner companies' payment terminals
Hypersoft checks(*1) the compatibility of the payment terminals at the start of the cooperation and often both Hypersoft and the partner companies carry out adaptation work for you in this connection. Unfortunately, this often leads to technical problems later on. Here are some of the known scenarios:
- Because you extend the contract with the data centre or for other reasons you receive new payment terminals. Sometimes the sales department of our partner companies overlooks the fact that the new devices must also be compatible with Hypersoft. Unfortunately, this is the rule with non-partner companies, so it is essential that the new devices are checked against our compatibility list before use.
- Payment terminal firmware updates change terminal behaviour in areas specifically used by Hypersoft and the few other more technically advanced manufacturers. Sometimes the quality management of our partners overlooks the necessary tests of the extended functions to Hypersoft with new firmware and also does not involve us in tests in advance. Unfortunately, this is the rule with non-partner companies.
*1 Payment terminals from Hypersoft Pay powered by Adyen are our responsibility and you can rely on compatibility.
In case of technical problems, first see the chapter Hypersoft Pay general questions & answers FAQ.
In general, we check the compatibility of the payment terminals when connecting via network (IP). This is the secure connection and we ask you to use it in preference. Especially when connection problems occur, it is usually sufficient to switch to "IP connection".
This list also refers to compatibility with the special pay at table functions.

*A) epay update available Ingenico Move 2020 (Hypersoft 07.12.2020)...
If problems with the connection of the terminal have arisen during 2020, please check whether the update version 8112 (or higher) has been automatically installed on the terminal as a remedy. This should be the case from around 12.2020, otherwise please contact the payment terminal support at epay. Please make sure that the terminal is accessible for the update of epay.
*B) Payone Yomani Problems 2020 (Hypersoft 01.12.2020)...
For unknown reasons, there have been problems with Yomani Terminal from Payone since this year. However, one problem could be specified. Depending on the firmware version, the terminals switch to DISABLED mode after a cash register cut. In this mode, the terminal no longer responds to our requests. When the system is restarted or in the event of a Hypersoft end of day, the terminals can be initialised again by us and then leave this mode. However, if you send a payment directly after a cash cut, it will fail, you will then have to perform a daily closing or restart the system beforehand. Since the mode does not make sense otherwise, a correction of the firmware by Payone is indicated from our point of view.
CCV Base devices...
For stationary devices we have found that the CCV Base (with epay about 20 seconds duration per payment transaction) is slower than the H5000 (with epay about 8 seconds duration per payment transaction). We assume that there will also be different waiting times for other devices.
Third-party equipment and non-partner data centres
In exceptional cases and after appropriate coordination within the scope of project work, it is possible under certain circumstances that the Hypersoft POS systems also work together with POS terminals not purchased from Hypersoft. In such cases, however, certain core functions of the Hypersoft POS solution cannot be used, so that a corresponding constellation can only be used purposefully for shops in the retail trade or in quick-service gastronomy. Further documentation: Hypersoft Pay general questions & answers FAQ
Requests for the integration of further data centres for full-service catering can only be considered within the framework of a project order, as this requires longer-term joint development work with corresponding costs.
In addition, we would like to point out that payment systems are also affected by digitalisation and therefore, in order to accept new and future payment methods - especially in connection with a type II cash register connection - extended cooperation, further development and repeated test phases together with the computer centre and Hypersoft are often necessary, so that this cannot be listed without further ado. Sales staff of card devices, who are usually only familiar with Type I connections, often mistakenly interpret our advice as protectionism and not as causally expressed for your protection.
Currently, we have positive experience with Type I connection of third-party devices (please note that we do not maintain a complete list for these data centres as at Compatibility of the payment terminals ):
