Hypersoft Pay Adyen Terminals
Our payment terminals are perfectly equipped for the Point Of Sale and for Pay At Table Speed and clear communication with the operator and the payer are the foundations for a positive payment experience.
We basically distinguish between countertop devices that are permanently connected to the point of sale and portable devices for Pay At Table (PayPOS) that are connected to the POS system via WLAN. Again, you don't have to worry about warranty and service because the units are part of the Hypersoft Power Item programme and are backed by Hypersoft support and a fast RMA process throughout their lifetime. The terminals also appear in the hardware management, as described in more detail in the section Card devices in the device management.

*1 = With the accessory communication coulter, the Saturn E is very good for stationary use. A charging cradle without communication ports is available for the Saturn F2.
*k = Small monitor. If you want to use the Smart Move as a PayPOS and use other mPOS variants, you should wait for an update that supports different layout sizes.
Adyen has the following release website: https://docs.adyen.com/point-of-sale/firmware-release-notes/
There you can see which requirements for Adyen have been resolved with which version number and which issues may still be open. As soon as a new firmware is available to us, we test it in order to make it available to you as soon as possible by means of our release to Adyen. The installation on the payment terminals then usually takes place automatically within a non-utilisation period.
Acoustic signal of the Adyen terminals...
The Adyen payment terminals are equipped with an acoustic signal to confirm a successful payment process. The volume is set to 80% by default. If this is not ideal for your company, please do not hesitate to contact our Hypersoft support team. We are at your disposal to adjust the volume accordingly. Alternatively, it is also possible to deactivate the acoustic signal completely.
Specially restricted peripherals for payment terminals...
All Adyen terminals have an integrated NFC reader. Currently, the NFC reader can only be used for card payments and cannot be used by Hypersoft for any purpose. This also applies to other peripherals, some of which are deliberately not included in such devices or are blocked for access (e.g. tilt sensors, brightness meters, etc...).
The new Smart Move is a genuine Android payment terminal with giropay (from around April 2024). It is small and lightweight with a battery capacity that allows for a long working day. The handy device even includes a chip card reader and a magnetic card reader. It is robust and can also be protected with a protective case. The single charging station supports the Protective Case, alternatively a 4-way charging station is also available. Another special feature is the option of using the device as a stationary device with a charging dock (stable WLAN required, as there is no LAN connection).
PayPOS use with the Smart Move...
As of March 2024: We have successfully tested the Smart Move device as a PayPOS with the mobile till and it is easy to use even with the small display. The layout should then be adapted accordingly so as not to have too many and therefore too small buttons. As only one layout size per location is currently supported, the settings then apply to all mPOS devices at the location. So if you use other mPOS hardware in addition to the Smart Move, the buttons there may appear larger than normal. In the future we will provide a separate layout option, as soon as this is planned, you will receive a notification in the roadmap or in the current update news.
Charging options and protection for the Smart Move...
Like all mPOS devices and mobile payment terminals, these should not be charged with a USB cable as standard, but should be given a secure charging point with a dedicated charger. The commercial use of such equipment requires this handling, as otherwise there will be an increased need for repairs and, of course, breakdowns. The following solutions are available for this purpose:
The Smart Move devices can be supplied with a protective case if required:
With the Protective Case, the device only fits in the Single Charger (without the Protective Case):
If you work with several devices, we recommend 4-way chargers:
The docking station is available for stationary operation (space-saving and stylish):
There is the Saturn F2 and the Saturn F2L, the F2L has the same features but with slightly higher performance (and no Girocard authorisation). The generation of Android terminals offers you an even better user experience as an all-in-one device and will enable a wide range of extensions in the future. Thanks to Android, you are prepared for the future to use new apps directly on the device compared to proprietary systems. The handling of the terminal reminds you more of your own mobile, so your operators will get used to it even faster. The quad-core processor makes commands and payments lightning fast. With a 6,000 mAH battery, the device is approximately twice as powerful as comparable mobile devices, and it supports 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz WLAN, 4G / 3G and Bluetooth 4.1 as standard.
The Saturn F2 is portable but much larger than the mobile Saturn EL due to the built-in printer, which is also expandable with external printers.
This device is also available as a PayPOS variant, see the possible configurations under Integrated licences for PayPOS.
No SNMP support...
The unit does not support SNMP and therefore has no MIB files for SNMP trap.
Technical explanation:
SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is a widely used protocol for monitoring network devices. The SNMP manager needs the MIB files to process messages from your devices.
Accessories for the Saturn F2...
A charging cradle with communication ports is available for the Saturn F2:

When using the Android Saturn F2 payment terminal, Maestro and VPay transactions are carried out with the equivalent service fee + IC++ from Girocard until Girocard certification is completed (in order not to incur any additional costs for you). Please note that this may have an impact on your accounts, as the "alleged Girocard transactions" are split between VPay and Maestro depending on card use.
How do I unpack my terminal (using the Saturn F2 as an example) correctly? Instruction video:
Saturn EL (mobile) and Saturn E2L
The mobile Saturn EL and Saturn E2L are almost as small as a smartphone without an integrated printer (comparison against Saturn F2):
The Saturn E2l is the successor to the Saturn EL with a slightly larger battery (5,200 mAh and 6,000 mAh). Otherwise, the units behave almost identically with regard to the use described here.
These devices are also available as PayPOS variants, see the possible configurations under Integrated licences for PayPOS.
The Saturn EL devices correspond in form factor to a smartphone that can be used as a fully-fledged payment terminal.
Battery...
The following information is an average of our experience and is formulated for your benefit. We assume that an operator does not switch on the screen permanently and book continuously, but uses the device sporadically but regularly to frequently for orders and payments:
The Saturn EL has a 5,200 mAh battery and the Saturn E2L has a 6,000 mAh battery (for orientation: Orderman 9 with Android 3,750 mAh). The 5,200 mAh battery theoretically allows an operator to work for 8.6 hours with a shift turnover of about €2,000 (in practice, many of our customers report about 10 hours). The unit is a little heavier, but thanks to the ergonomic curve it fits comparably well in the hand (some operators even find the curve better).
The units have replacement batteries, but we recommend changing the batteries only for renewal and not for daily use. It is better to always keep additional devices on hand for when needed and to charge the batteries in the device (practical tip: most money is earned during peak times, so there should not be a lack of mPOS devices or payment terminals).
Saturn EL Chargers...
For the Saturn EL, there is the 5-fold Gangcharger, which we recommend for charging. The mobile device could also be charged with a plug-in power supply, but from our experience, it is not only neater, but also significantly extends the availability and durability of the mobile devices when they are stored and charged in gang stations outside of hard use.
Printing with the Saturn EL...
Suitable printing options include Bluetooth belt printers or stationary POS printers. For an optimally short printout, use the NoCOO slip. The NoCOO codes can be offered for customers to photograph on the display.
Readers and QR Code...
With the integrated camera, it should be possible to read web vouchers and other Hypersoft codes once the integration is complete. The integrated barcode scanner is neither needed nor supported.
Fanny pack and crash protector...
Since a combined PayPOS POS payment terminal is best always with every operator, you should also use an ergonomic belt pouch with fall protection that is suitable for the Saturn E and Saturn EL. The high-quality leather pouch has a belt loop on the back and a metal eyelet on the side to attach the snap hook of the crash protector. The other end of the crash protector is threaded into the safety bracket of the Saturn. The standard position of the pocket at the hip is aligned with the length of the drop guard so that a dropped device can be protected from impact. Since a fanny pack is part of the garment and we have them made inexpensively, you can easily treat every employee to a personalised fanny pack. The carabiner is particularly ergonomic and can be used to release the device for charging or changing the battery, for example.
Replacement and exchange battery...
For long-term use as a mobile cash register and payment terminal, we recommend including the use of replacement batteries in the concept and training this with the staff. A low battery level is not only bad for the WLAN connection but can also lead to payment orders being rejected.

Warning against improper handling during charging
One of the most common causes of mobile device failures is defects in the charging contacts. These can be caused mechanically, by improper battery replacement or chemically by contamination. Batteries must never be changed under the influence of stress, as this can lead to incorrect operation, which can reflexively result in the application of inappropriate force. In addition, contacts are unfortunately soiled in practice, e.g. with sweat, drinks and even dipping sauces. If the devices are then connected so dirty for charging, galvanic reactions occur and the copper contacts dissolve or insulating layers form, which can lead to charging problems. Therefore, please ensure that such contact points are always kept clean and dry before placing devices in charging trays or connecting them to chargers.
Our tip : Training on how to change batteries in an orderly manner is standard for every employee with mobile devices and exchangeable batteries.
Verifone Countertop P400Plus Hypersoft Pay Edition
The powerful countertop device is used in Quick-Service or Retail. It stands next to the cash register or is fixed there with special brackets. It is designed in such a way that both the customer receipt and the retailer receipt do not have to be printed out on the device, but can be created by the POS system. As a rule, you can dispense with the dealer receipt in printed form, as all payment information is stored digitally in Hypersoft. This means that the machine does not need its own printer and you do not need special EC paper rolls. The device becomes even more powerful in combination with NoCOO - Digital Billing.
To note...
The P400Plus is wired and should therefore be securely connected to the network via a LAN cable. The integrated WLAN module should only be used as a temporary solution until an appropriate cable is made available. If you want to operate the unit via WLAN, please note WLAN Notes and Mobile Device Practice.
If you contact our support when using the unit in the (temporary) WLAN, please point out this exception to them.

So far, this device is not used in the standard but only in the project business. Please take this into account when making enquiries,
It is a modular unit where the modules only form a functional unit together. The separation of the components has been made for ergonomic ease of use.A UX300 payment terminal consists of three components:
-
UX300 card reader
-
UX100 PIN pad with a display
-
UX400 NFC reader
The NYC1 card reader is not yet certified for Girocard, but Adyen expects this to happen in the course of the current year.
Special conditions of use for the Verifone UX300 Unattended...
The unit is designed for self-service operation and is often used outdoors. Hypersoft has a powerful RMA replacement service for Hypersoft Pay powered by Adyen payment terminals that cannot be supported for this device because the UX300 is permanently installed on your premises. When making an enquiry, please confirm your extended duty to cooperate as follows so that we can consider a possible offer:
This permanently installed unit is also not sold, but rented out by term agreement. You are obliged to use the device during the agreed rental period and to return it to Hypersoft at the end of the rental period. If the unit breaks during or at the end of the agreed period of use, we will charge you for a new unit. Our service is limited to the sending of devices, replacement devices or components. You must remove the defective unit or components and send them to Hypersoft. Hypersoft will then send you or, if necessary, send you in advance a replacement device or components, the installation of which is also your responsibility. In addition, you can book our staff for the installation and/or removal of the unit. We provide these services depending on availability and you will be charged for them in any case.
Lifetime PCI Certification (internal)
Payment terminals are usually certified for a limited period of time. It is possible to renew the certification at a later date, but this will usually only be the case in the future. Hypersoft takes the sufficient term into account when concluding the respective contract, so this is more of an internal information.
