Noteworthy information on the notification obligation

Notification obligations exist and can also be carried out with Hypersoft using ELSTER.

Hypersoft Definition of a reportable Hypersoft cash register (with regard to EAS)

In connection with the EAS (electronic recording system), the respective hypersoft system on a device acts as the cash register and not "the programme carrier and executor" (the PC, the tablet, the mobile device). The reporting obligation is not only useful as an external security system (towards the authorities), but also internally with regard to fraud protection.

Most devices (as program carriers and executors) can be easily replaced in the event of a hardware defect, especially in a cash register network, since the data is and remains in the network system on site. Thus, not only the program executor but also the Hypersoft cash register on the device has a Hypersoft cash register program serial number. This is assigned by the cash register manufacturer, Hypersoft.

Upon completion of the TSE system, devices with these numbers are provided, assigned and set up. The Hypersoft algorithm, in coordination with our support and your instructions, ensures that the Hypersoft cash register only works under these conditions and cannot be duplicated by exchange devices or simple disconnection from the system (fraud protection).

You can place this Hypersoft cash register program serial number on the visible program carrier (PC, device, mobile device) and report it to the authorities. This establishes a connection between the Hypersoft cash register program serial number and the device as the program carrier.

Note on virtual cash registers...

In addition to physical cash registers, so-called virtual cash registers can also be used in the Hypersoft cash register network (for controlling mobile devices or other complex tasks). As these book with their own cash register programme serial number, they are also subject to reporting.

Placement of licenses

So far there was a number and a license type, for example 3 x Hypersoft POS (stationary cash register) and 4 x Hypersoft mPOS (mobile cash register). Independently of this, there is the ward managementin which we have named the individual stations organizationally and define the respective ward type (not only as cash registers, e.g. also Hypersoft MCP office workstation). For the future in our example the 3 x Hypersoft POS licenses will be assigned exactly to the corresponding station. Mobile devices behave differently, however, because until now they have always been assigned collectively to one station. However, as the individual mobile devices will be subject to registration in the future, each mobile device will receive an entry in the station administration. From the 4 x mPOS devices in our example four single licenses and stations are assigned to which 4 Hypersoft cash register program serial numbers are assigned in order to be reported as cash registers. In our example we have a total of 7 registers, 3 stationary and 4 mobile.

Conversion to TSE use of systems set up before 2020

This section up to the end of the chapter is only relevant for systems that have not yet been set up for TSE use.

The conversion of information in ward management is largely automatic. The Hypersoft cash register license serial numbers are also supplemented with information on the location and device.

(If you use Hypersoft POS Quick-Service and Full-Service licenses "mixed", the stations are assigned manually with the help of our support. Further documentation: Hypersoft POS Licenses)

If you have used cash registers at different locations, this is hardly practicable any more, since you would have to cancel and register them for each change of location. We will comment on the more precise definition of changes of place. Example: Bringing a cash register from the company to a city festival is a change of location that must be reported.

We will work out further details on the following topics after the currently suspended reporting obligation becomes known:

  • RDP terminals as cash stations.
  • Handling of replacement devices that are in stock.
  • I regularly find at multiple locations.
  • Connections to 3rd party cash registers.

Every cash register must be registered and there must be exactly this number in operation, no less (where is it then possibly in use?) and of course no more.

Terminal Commander and Station Settings

The Hypersoft Terminal Commander determines the licenses for each /TTAClosed The theoretical end of day (TTA) applies the calendar day change at a time specified by you (default setting 6:00 a.m.). The programme can automatically perform closures, updates and maintenance at this time. A new sales day then begins with the first POS booking of the day. on startup and generates a license serial number for each individual license when changes are made.

Each station that represents a booking system (POS, mPOS etc.) requests a license number from this pool and connects firmly to this station. Since there were previously no station numbers for individual mobile devices, these are now also created automatically from station 650 (overwriting will not occur).

There are 2 new station types: Clou Mobile for Windows (also valid for mPOS Handheld) & Clou Mobile for Orderman these according to the licenses. When the corresponding devices are started, the license numbers are assigned to the stations. Possible errors can be corrected manually in the ward management. Free / used licenses are also displayed there.

Since every handset now also has a station number, it is no longer possible to delete device serial numbers via the mPOS Setup. This will have to be taken into account when exchanging devices in the future and will be done via the station administration in the future. The license for the station (handset) is then removed. This will remove the hardware assignment and release the license. Another (new) mobile device will take this position automatically when starting.

Copying of tables / files, interventions by SQL or other editors are not permitted for all, also specialist dealers, administrators or other customers. If necessary, contact the Hypersoft Service Center.

In the ward administration there is a new column Licence for viewing the licences. The following abbreviations are used:

POS = POS / cash register

mP/T = ePOS Tablet

mP/H = mPOS Handheld

CM/O = Clou Mobile for Windows / Orderman ( is not distinguished )

The System tab displays the used and total licenses.

Release or assign licences...

In the context menu there are 2 new functions to remove a license or to assign a license. A code generated by our support ("Hypersoft Code 1") will be queried in the following, this ensures that such intervention in your system is only carried out by Hypersoft support and can be documented in the incident management (Fraud Protection). As usual, you can viewand evaluate the support communication there and, if necessary, simply re-initiate unfinished business from your point of view.

If a station is assigned a license, the station number can no longer be changed. When a station is deleted, the corresponding code is also queried if a license was assigned.

Enter the code:

All devices show their serial no. on. This is Hypersoft POS:

Here you can see the number in red font (because this station does not have a license yet). Later (planned from 01.01.2020) a message appears without a license and the station is stopped so that it can no longer be used for collecting or working.

in Hypersoft mPOS the serial number is displayed in the info key:

As already mentioned, we recommend that the Hypersoft serial numbers are also visible on the devices. For this purpose we are working on an automatic printout.

CLOU MOBILE for Orderman TSE and serial number...

Each handset is checked when "Power On" is started and a free station number and a free licence number are then used if necessary (the old function for automatically recording serial numbers is therefore no longer required).

The Hypersoft customer number and the assigned station number form the so-called TSE serial number. Here in the example customer number 24860 and station number 200 form the TSE serial number 24860200. (Changes in the structure of the number are possible).

The assigned station number (here 200) will thus be used for signing in the future and can therefore always be checked independently of the executing POS number.
