Hypersoft POS Licenses

The Hypersoft POS POS system consists of licenses for stationary POS terminals:

Hypersoft UX Quick Service
Hypersoft UX Full Service
Hypersoft UX Quick-Service +
Hypersoft UX Full-Service +

What is included in the licences

These licences are primarily differentiated between Quick Service and Full Service and are also available as a bundle with additional licences marked with a +.

The licences are very powerful, and you can switch from Quick Service to Full Service by paying the difference in licence prices and licence processing. There are no surchargeable extensions for the POS, because the licences contain at least the functions described under Hypersoft POS for the use of a POS system. What is not included in the Quick Service variant is described under These functions are not included in the Quick Service variant. Both licences contain services from other programme areas:

Three programmes are included from the reporting area:

Fast front office reports directly on the ePOS.
Omnipresent live reports on the smartphone or desktop.
The most important 19 standard reports from the Report Manager.
The Automatic Report Export of the Report Manager.
The Report Collection for your Cloud Collection.

One interface to Hypersoft Pay powered by Adyen (or another partner if available) per Hypersoft UX "POS licence".

Hypersoft UX Quick-Service + and Hypersoft UX Full-Service + licence bundle

These licences contain everything that the respective POS licences contain as standard and additionally the standard services of the following programs:

Backoffice Suite	The POS licence only includes a few reports, with this you have all the reports of the Report Manager and further functions.
Hypersoft customer base	The Hypersoft customer base is available to you in many areas.
Time recording licences	You can add the 20 employee licence per Hypersoft UX POS + licence.
Web-Vouchers	The web voucher system can be expanded into a web voucher shop with CloudBOX alone.

The web vouchers are fixed in the tariff: Packagecalc, i.e. with the settings Hypersoft UX Webshop tariff: Package, no other tariff can be booked in the bundle.

Hypersoft UX licences in practice

Hypersoft UX Full-Service licences are suitable for operation in full-service restaurants (with table service), for ticket sales and for check-in and check-out in the cashless sector.

Without full-service functions and therefore the Hypersoft UX full-service licence. This is optimised for operation in direct sales such as Free Flow / Freeflow (self-service restaurants), Retail Stores and all forms of sales where the customer is located with the operator at the POS system.

Example of the Full-Service Quick-Service mixed operation...

One café has a service area with ten tables with a Hypersoft POS full-service licence. For the takeaway area (street vending), a Hypersoft POS Quick-Service licence is used at the ice cream counter. There are two possible configurations for this to work: 1) The Quick Service tills are set up using transaction groups so that each one stores its transactions locally. 2) The Quick Service tills are configured by Use transaction groups in a variant that they share a separate data drive among themselves. This then allows this group some sharing under the terms of the Quick Service licence.

The mixed operation in the cashless sector...

A cashless event area has two Check In / Check Out tills where the Hypersoft POS Full-Service licences are used. In the sales area, there is a full-service restaurant with another Hypersoft POS full-service license and twelve additional points of sale with Hypersoft POS Quick-Service licenses.

This licensing is possible if the Cashless Options Licence required for the cashless area is available and in use at the cash registers that are licensed as Quick Service.

Assignments with mixed full-service and quick-service...

If the allocation of licences has not yet been completed, a message to this effect is displayed when the cash register is started. The user is asked to call the support for this:

Even though the main difference between these Full-Service and Quick-Service licences is the process management, we also allow you to open up to 10 processes at the same time with the Hypersoft Quick-Service licence. This exception is intended exclusively for special functions such as staff operations or operator hold functions, offset operations for dispensing system integration or similar (use in a full-service operation is not permitted even with only 10 operations with the Quick-Service licence).

Online Order Transactions are not counted here for your convenience and can be used indefinitely with the Quick Service.

When opening the 11. The operator receives this information during the first step:

Restriction of the function on the keyboard...

When a key on the POS keyboard is pressed, a check is made to see whether the keyboard contains a function that has not been released for the POS Quick-Service licence. If this is the case, a message is given once. This unique message appears each time the cash register is restarted.

Please immediately take care of a POS Full-Service license in exchange, or set the licenses correctly. You cannot continue working in subsequent versions in this way.

Licensing stations correctly

In the standard system, licenses are automatically applied and used correctly.

With the Hypersoft POS system we differentiate between

Hypersoft POS Full-Service Licenses
Hypersoft POS Quick Service (or Retail) Licenses

Only if not all POS stations are of the same type, the assignment must either be done manually, or checked and corrected if necessary.

Under Edit stations, you specify whether a station is to act as a quick service. This is done by Hypersoft employees during the agreed active support hours.

Combined delivery of POS printer licenses

For security and speed reasons, printer control in the POS area is made possible with proprietary drivers and special auxiliary and detection programs from Hypersoft. The required Hypersoft licenses are purchased with each Hypersoft printer.

Please use only POS Printeroffered by Hypersoft and their reseller partners.

Supply of POS devices and proof of location

We have prepared our hardware directory for the proof of location that may be required in the Cash Register Ordinance (Germany) and have been recording the relevant devices precisely for several years.

Not only because of the price-performance ratio and the fact that these devices are tested by us for compatibility and the support is adjusted to help you quickly, but also for the safety of the continued use of these devices with appropriate new regulations of the cash regulation, we strongly recommend to use only our devices. You can also purchase these devices from our specialist trade partners. Although the legislator grants a transitional period, this can expire before you have been able to use the devices for their planned lifetime.

Whether Hypersoft will offer a (chargeable) registration of third-party devices is not yet certain, as the requirements of the Kassenverordnung and its implementation planning by Hypersoft have not yet been completed.
