Errors when using at the POS

  • When a web voucher invitation card receives the message "customer not known" message appears on a web coupon invitation card, the coupon will not work again until you query the coupon value at checkout. This should happen very rarely and we are working on a solution.
  • If a web voucher does not display a credit as expected after reading it, please read the voucher again. This should happen very rarely and we are working on a solution.

  • When designing cards or other media, be careful not to overstrain the readers. The codes should always be as rich in contrast as possible (no gold or silver (chrome) as background but preferably black on white). In addition, faults in the system are known if, for example, there are further codes in the vicinity of a QR code to be read. This may also apply to other formats such as barcodes that may not be used in the same scan area. If such media are already in use, you must be strictly careful not to use them and emergency your employees train further codes e.g. in the reading area with the fingers to cover. The error usually occurs within the readers and drivers over which we have no control.

Tax issues

  • The web voucher system is currently designed exclusively for multi-purpose vouchers. The extension for single-purpose vouchers is planned and a date can then be found in the Announcements section.
  • How and when you have to pay tax on unredeemed credits depends on your business and its services in correspondence with local jurisdiction. Ask your tax advisor. Example of an idea for a request: If you do not limit the voucher value in time and assume that digital vouchers will be redeemed for 10 years, then you could tax 10% of the unredeemed credit at the end of the first year. In subsequent years then only 10% of the difference of the credit in comparison to the previous year and so on.
