Sort - Order of the items

Sorting items is especially important on invoices, order receipts and in shop systems for smooth and efficient communication.

Sorting in the POS system

Items are normally contained in commodity groups and the order of the commodity groups can be given a sort order. Thus, all items are easily sorted according to the product groups. See for this .

The items are then sorted alphabetically within the product groups using the receipt text 1.

If you want to sort items very precisely, you can use the freely selectable item number. This has two limitations:

  1. The actual function of these numbers, to book items on the basis of numbers at the POS (mostly mobile POS) can then usually no longer be used. Since this is hardly used any more anyway, one can neglect the disadvantage.

  2. Item maintenance with sorting numbers is time-consuming and you always have to take the sorting numbers into account for each new item and for changes, which can lead to errors in practice. (Note: If you only want to sort the wines, for example, you can also use one of the free cash register keyboards and place the items directly on it. From cashier mode, you then call up the layout with a layout change, which can be a macro on a key called "Wine".

If you want to sort using the freely selectable item numbers, the sorting of the product groups takes precedence. You can therefore sort exactly within the product groups or not use the sorting of the product groups to do all the sorting using the freely selectable item numbers.

By the way, within item queries there is another option for sorting, for this read Free sorting of the queries.

Sorting in the Hypersoft Webshop

You can freely design other product groups for the Hypersoft Webshop and assign the existing product groups there. The sorting of the items can then be done by sorting the product groups in the display of the web shop and within these product groups you have own sorting settings by alphabet, item numbers or free item numbers.

The invoices and order receipts generated by the POS system of the location also use the sorting settings as described above for orders from the webshop. and is, however, made on the basis of the original commodity groups (if provided with sort numbers). Of course, the freely selectable item numbers are also applied for sorting.

If an important assortment cannot be used under any circumstances for all areas, it is still possible to switch to assortments and create the corresponding items more than once. However, this should always remain the absolute exception.
