Touch-optimized programs

A particular advantage is the possibility of seamlessly integrating stock management into the POS system and using it on tablets. Several options are available for this purpose. Some are fully automatic.

In general, all CONTROLLER programs can also be started directly from the POS cashier mode, if you can use mouse and keyboard.

The Ordercenter Touch-optimized programs can also be used on mobile devices. However, you should only use a remote control via RDP (Remote Desktop) and not work with a database interface via W-LAN. In contrast to our mobile cash registers, interface problems can otherwise lead to malfunctions and their elimination can cause costs.

Special Hypersoft Controller Barcodes

An essential option is the possibility to use barcodes for accelerated work.

  • Employees can log in as users by barcode.
  • Storage locations, points of sale can be set or selected by barcode.
  • Suppliers can be set or selected by barcode.
  • Of course the items can be booked by barcode.

This means that even complex transactiones can be carried out quickly by scanning barcodes. The barcodes for items are maintained as usual in the item master. The other special barcodes are managed in the master information.

program call

The call can be made directly from the order center, or the following parameters can be used.

Details on special call parameters...

By the special start parameters the Ordercenter is started in such a way that it works in the desired mode. The call is made via a targeted program start of the order center from the cashier mode or via any link.

Structure: ordercenter.exe TOUCH M U MODE

M = Client, if "0", a dialog similar to MCP is displayed for logon.

U = User, if "0", a dialog similar to MCP is displayed for login

MODE

ASK - Query dialog with all variants

ORDER - Order

REBOOK - Transfer booking

LOSS - Loss posting

INTAKE - Goods receipt

INTAKEFREE - Free Goods Receipt

/BDR - Print output to CLOU printer (see Posting Base Items to Loss)

/S:vks (point of sale)

/The own point of sale from the station settings is then used as the source. For example, to only book losses for your own point of sale: "TOUCH M U LOSS /S", where M and U are the known parameters for client and user. 0 values for client or user are then queried during the call.

Post base item as loss

In order to be able to post base items to losses, the order center can be started in TOUCH mode. Special parameters can be used for this, these parameters can now be extended by an additional one.

The parameter /BDR causes the print output to be diverted to the CLOU printer (standard thermal printer). The Order Center checks whether a printer has been assigned for the reports or uses the default printer. If you want to use a specific printer, you can use an equal sign after the parameter. Example: /BDR=100012, the printer number can be read out in the printer settings. A sample printout on the thermal printer:

Example of automatic integration

  • Recipes are automatically applied and calculate the theoretical inventory. The same applies to free appendices and queries.
  • The real-time display creates delivery notes on the basis of the scheduled requirements and automatically books the items to the point of sale.
  • Cancellations differentiate according to the queries whether the items were consumed or whether it is only a cancellation that is not relevant from a merchandise management point of view.
  • Controls take into account the start or end time of the POS system to use the correct theoretical stock for comparisons.

Example of optional integration

  • Loss postings can immediately reduce "incorrect" stock shortages.
  • Return postings can immediately adjust "incorrect" overstocks.
  • Goods requisitions can be triggered from cashier mode.
  • Controls can be started directly from the cashier mode for groups or all items.
  • Transfers can optionally be confirmed upon delivery (also optionally by receipt).

Operating example...

When stocking points of sale, deviations in stocks are noticeable which could not be prevented by controls or other measures. Now the stocks should be adjusted quickly on the basis of the apparently correct values, so that the theoretical stock is then congruent with the actual stock.

To do this, losses are created in cashier mode. For example, the loss reason sub-stockthat is posted directly before the corresponding item. To increase the stock, you have to post a negative loss. For this purpose, a macro is created from the two cash register functions. First the reason for the loss (for example, excess stock) and then the function Retour.

For macros with the Retour function, make sure that the operator also has authorization for returns. Otherwise, the Returns function is not executed and a loss is posted, that is, the theoretical stock is reduced instead of increased!
