ePOS Tap2Pay

Consumer devices such as smartphones and tablets can be upgraded to fully-fledged payment terminals, as can our Android terminals for Android-based ePOS mobile devices and the Orderman 10. These combinations allow you to use combined checkout and payment terminals.

The launch of Tap to Pay by Adyen marks the start of support for our ePOS Tap2Pay for Android devices. Another solution for payment via Android devices with our partner VR Payment, under the name VR PayME, isalso supported.

Current status

With Hotfix 15, ePOS Tap2Pay with Adyen is available for Orderman 10 Hypersoft Edition and Rocket 2.

Fees for this technology per TAE (per transaction)

As this is new technology in a growth market, we also expect adjustments to data centre fees. At present, the providers' statements are not yet clear (also for this reason).

Adyen is talking about an additional 4 cent TAE for Google Pay and 7 cent TAE for Apple Pay (although Apple Pay is still waiting to launch in Germany).

vr Payment has so far focussed on Android and therefore Google Pay. There will now also be a fee regulation here.

Adyen concept for Tap2Pay

Adyen has developed Tab to Pay for Android (Google Pay) and Apple (Apple Pay), which is part of the Adyen data centre of our ePOS Tap2Pay solution. While the combination with Apple has already been launched in other countries, this solution is not yet available in Germany. The launch in Germany is therefore only planned with Android for the time being, which also fits in with the current Android mPOS devices from Hypersoft and the mPOS clients for Android. The Android devices must be stored as payment terminals in the Adyen portal, which can be carried out by Hypersoft in future.

Supported payment methods at Adyen ePOS Tap2Pay...

  • Mastercard

  • Visa

  • MAESTRO

  • VPay

  • With the exception of Girocard, all Adyen payment cards are to be supported.

giropay is not yet planned for Tap 2Pay, by default EC cards use MAESTRO or VPay as fallback. We are currently evaluating the extent to which this is possible without a processing fee.

Planned Adyen fees...

There will be an extra fee for Google Pay per transaction with the system.

Adyen does not charge any fees for the virtual terminals.

VR Payment with VR PayME

Included for mPOS Client from Hotfix 17 (02.2025). All planned options:

Supported payment methods with VR Payment

  • giropay

  • Mastercard

  • Visa

  • MAESTRO

  • VPay

Planned VR Payment fees...

There should be no extra charge for Google Pay per transaction with the system.

VR Payment plans to charge monthly fees for the virtual terminals.
