SOT with coupons

Using coupons, you can offer special items at your SOT without carrying them in your regular offer. See also the tips under Best Practice Extension of Price-Range with Couponing. in the general topic YourAPP Coupons.

Set up scanning

The QR code scanner must be set up in the ward management if the coupons are to be used by scanning rather than just manually entering them. To do this, please set up the reader for pagers in the ward settings:

Use couponing at the Self Order Kiosk (SOT)

For couponing, it can be special items, promotions or prizes. A coupon item must be set up as saleable in the item master and assigned to the appropriate SOT assortment. Different assortments per order type are therefore still possible.

In order for your coupon items not to be displayed in their regular offer, they must not be assigned to any SOT merchandise group.

The item identification is done via the free item number, which can have 3-8 digits. If you want to enable the scanning of a coupon code via QR code, it must correspond to the following structure:

https://www.hypersoft.de/?HYAR=1234 or abbreviated: HYAR=1234 (1234= Free item number)

Note: The structure is identical to the coupons in YourAPP, which is why they can be scanned directly from the APP on the SOT.

Activate couponing in the portal

You can activate the use of coupons in the SOT settings in the portal.

If you have activated the use of coupons, a new Redeem Coupons button will appear at the top right of the SOT:

The number of digits determines how many digits your free item number and thus your coupon codes have:

The coupon mode distinguishes between the following modes of operation:

  1. By default, the SOT assumes that coupon codes are scanned by QR code, and only in the event of an error is manual entry made by numeric keypad.

  2. The SOT requires the coupon code to be entered by numeric keypad, scanning a QR code is not supported.

 

The texts and designations have been extended to include the Coupons section, so that you can define all designations yourself:

Press the Redeem Coupons button:

Activation of the scanner...

If scanning is not possible, the Are you still there? Button.

The scanner must be activated in the ward management of the SOT.

The coupon code is entered (or optionally entered, depending on the coupon mode):

Call up the desired item, which can then be placed in the shopping basket:

Invalid coupon or code

If a coupon code is invalid or an incorrect code is scanned, a message will appear.

This message also appears if the coupon item is out of availability, time control or extended time control.
