Customer base at the POS

For the cashier mode on the touch screen there is a special dialog with which the customer data can be edited. The most important functions from the MCP customer base have been taken over and optimized for operation on the touch screen.

You can manage addresses in the customer master. These addresses can be individual customers or grouped. A customer record can be marked as the main address so that it represents a company, club, group or family. Further customer data records are then assigned to this main address. These can then be company members, association or group members, or company members.

customer number

You can do this in cashier mode:

  • Search for customers to book on them (customer transactions),
  • Assign a customer to operations (tables) (Customer assignment),
  • Complete customer transactions or tables with customer allocation to a customer,
  • Create and assign new customers and main addresses,
  • Assign photos and cards.

Normally, you should either work with customer assignment or with customer transactions. When searching for a client, only client transactions are searched. If you have assigned a customer to a table, you can find the process via the table number. There is also the possibility that you have two open transactions for the same customer when using both procedures in parallel.

Customer processes and customer assignments

If you have not opened a table and call up a customer (cash register function Find customer), a customer transaction is created.

If you have opened a table and call a customer from this situation, then the customer is assigned to the table - a customerassignment has been made.

If you want to use an existing transaction as a customer transaction, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the desired operation.
  2. Enter the desired customer number
  3. Activate the cash register function Customer transfer
  4. The process is now a customer process and can be processed further.

Working with customer images

Optionally, you can also display the customer images in cashier mode - a customer who "only" pays with his name can easily be verified.

Activate Display customer picturesto use this function.

Complete customer transactions

You close customer transactions to customer accounts by using this payment type on the close button. On the close button that you want to use to pay to customer account, use the cash Check customer number function to prevent transactions from being accidentally settled to a customer account that has not been assigned to a customer.

If Accounting is active, the cash register function Payment to customer account checks whether a customer is also assigned to the transaction that is being completed. If no customer is assigned, closing is prevented. This is an additional security in case the check was not configured correctly. If you are working with a subset of customers who can pay to a customer account, but want to prevent other customers from accidentally being closed on the customer account, you can also use the cash Check customer's payment type register function on the close key.
